Products

When Product sync is enabled, the app syncs Shopify products to e-conomic products, typically one e-conomic product per variant SKU.

Enable product sync

Sync settings → Product → Rule syncEnable product sync.

The app reacts when Shopify products are created or updated.

Rules

Setting Description
Require SKU Skip variants without a SKU when enabled
Require title Skip variants without a product title when enabled
Only active products Skip draft/archived products when enabled
When product exists in e-conomic Update, Skip, or Warn (log only)
Archive maps to barred Map Shopify archived status to barred in e-conomic when applicable

Default mappings (required for create)

Setting Description
Default product group Required to create new products in e-conomic
Default unit Optional
Default departmental distribution Optional

The wizard may auto-pick the lowest product group number from e-conomic when you connect.

Field mappings

Common mappings:

Shopify e-conomic
SKU Product number
Title Product name
Description Description
Price Sales price
Compare at price Recommended price
Barcode Barcode
Cost Cost price

Use Basic or Advanced field mapping UI and preview sample data before saving.

SKU resolution

The app prefers the variant SKU from Shopify. If missing, it may try another Shopify product source when the app has permission.

Orders: missing products

Even with product sync off, order sync can optionally create missing products before posting an invoice or sales order, using line item SKU and title from the order. That requires:

  • Default product group set
  • Setting Ensure missing products enabled under Order rules

See Orders.

Log behavior

Product events log variant counts: synced, skipped, failed, plus reasons (missing SKU, draft product, etc.).

Tips

  • Enforce SKUs in Shopify before enabling product sync.
  • Choose Skip for “when product exists” if e-conomic is the master for existing article master data.
  • Use Update if Shopify should always drive name and price in e-conomic.
